The socio-economic situation in July and first seven months was featured with “positive changes” in almost all fields, the Government chief noted.

To maintain growth momentum, PM Dung asked inferior levels to continue improving business environment and national competiveness while pursuing a flexible interest rate policy, accelerate exports, effectively control trade deficit, beef up equitization and tourism development.

PM Dung highly valued the efforts to prepare the evaluation report on the implementation of the national target programs for the period 2011-2015 as well as the quality of the programs for the period 2016-2020.

Regarding e-Government, PM Dung stressed that the Government is highly determined to speed up e-Government development by issuing a resolution which will specify missions of each agency.

He urged competent agencies to coordinate closely with the United Nations to collect data relevant to e-Government development in Viet Nam.

During the Cabinet meeting, the Government also discussed amendments to the Law on child protection, care and education, and to the Law on Pharmacy./.
