Gov’t, VFF cooperate to ensure food hygiene
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung and President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Nguyen Thien Nhan on March 30 in Ha Noi signed a joint program to encourage and supervise food hygiene in the 2016-2020 period.

The program targets to raise social awareness of individuals, households, organizations, food producers and businesses of safe food and heighten their responsibilities for ensuring people’s quality health.
It also aims to encourage, commend, and expand role models in production and business of safe food; condemn and punish infringements.
The program will propose, amend, and supplement the legal system on State management of food hygiene.
Specifically, the program looks to encourage at least 90% of agricultural households to commit to producing safe food; and 100% of collectives to produce and trade safe food. All communes recognized as new rural areas and towns known as civilized urban must meet hygiene food criteria./.
