The Vietnamese Government chief expressed his hope while receiving Mr. Jeffrey Immelt, the head of President Barack Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, in Ha Noi on August 24.

The host once again affirmed Viet Nam’s consistence in backing foreign investors, including American ones.

He asksed the guest and his Council to support the US recognition of Viet Nam as a market economy as well as the bilateral negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement.

Mr. Jeffrey Immelt, in his turn, said that many US-invested projects have been fruitfully implemented in Viet Nam.

He suggested that the two sides should extend cooperation in such fields like aviation, energy, science and technology.
