At the meeting, the Government will discuss the implementation of Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP on socio-economic development, state budget estimates in 2016, and Decree No. 31/2013/ND-CP to guided detailed implementation of some articles of the revised Ordinance on preferential treatment of people with meritorious services to the Revolution.

In January, 2016, ministries, agencies and localities actively realized the National Assembly’s Resolutions and the Government’s Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP as well as strengthened measures to stabilize the market and price for the people to enjoy a warm Lunar New Year festival.

Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh highlighted the stable Consumer Price Index (CPI), high growth rates gained by the industrial and agricultural production, and improvements in the service sector.

In the month, export turnover expanded while  import decreased. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Official Development Assistance (ODA) rose, as did the disbursement of these capital, compared with the same period last year.
