Released on January 3, Resolution 01/NQ-CP focuses on major tasks and solutions guiding and directing the realization of the Plan for socio-economic development and State budget estimate in 2015.
It shows the strong determination of the Government in reforming education and science, accelerating administrative reform, anti-corruption and thrift practice.
Realistic issues referred to in the Resolution, which are mainly concerned by businesses, are to adjust the credit mechanism in favor of manufacturing, rural agriculture, exports, support industry, small and medium-sized enterprises, businesses applying high-technology and to accelerate the privatization of State-owned enterprises.
With the determination of the Government, efforts of the laborers and the creativity of the business community, the strength and competitiveness of the economy are expected to develop more sustainably.
After nearly 30 years of renovation, in 2013, Viet Nam’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached nearly US$175 billion and the GDP per capita rose 20% compared to the previous year, attaining US$1.960.
The country has become one of the leading exporters in terms of peppercorn, rice, coffee, tea, rubber, seafood, garment, footwear and timber.
