The Government chief tasked ministerial and local leaders to drastically realize Directive 31/CT-TTg, dated December 24, 2015 on enhancing the management and administration work to stabilize market and price and ensure social order and safety on the 2016 Lunar New Year Festival.  

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to ensure the balance of goods supply and demand; prevent product shortage and price hike; and provide goods at reasonable prices, especially in urban, far-reaching, mountainous and island areas.

Competent agencies were instructed to tighten market control and combat illegal trafficking, trade frauds, and poor-quality products.

The Ministry of Public Security was asked to open a campaign to suppress criminals; prevent terror activities; and ensure national security and social order on the Tet festival.

The Ministry of Transport was instructed to meet travelling demands for people and cargo transportation, and  strictly control traffic jams and accidents.

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development were tasked to control food hygiene and take care of people’s health.

The People’s Committees at all levels were assigned to assist the poor, the elderly, policy beneficiaries, the ethnic minorities, combat social evil acivities, and prevent fire and explosion./.
