The 15 localities included Yen Bai, Ca Mau, Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Kien Giang, Binh Dinh, Ninh Thuan, Binh Phuoc, Thai Nguyen, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Ninh Thuan.

The budget package will be disbursed until late September 30, 2016.

The PM also tasked the Ministry of Planning and Investment to make detailed reports on assistance for forest fire prevention projects.

Beneficiary localities were assigned to allocate budgets to prevent forest fire and protect forest in 2015.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in 2015, Viet Nam is directly affected by El Nino with serious hot weather and droughts, long-lasting dry sea, and decreased rainy.

Localities in the Central Region and Central Highlands Region are suffering from record droughts and potential forest fire. Meanwhile, in the Mekong Delta Region, water level was at record low and hot weather was forecast to bring about forest fires./.
