PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highlighted his view at his meeting with Chairman Park Jin of the RoK National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee this morning in Hà Nội.

He stressed that Việt Nam, as President of ASEAN next year, would spare no effort to deepening the comprehensive cooperation between ASEAN and the RoK.

The Vietnamese leader also hoped that Mr. Park Jin would play an increasingly important role in concretizing the strategic partnership between the two countries, focusing on trade and investment ties to lift the bilateral trade turnover to a significant volume. Currently, the two-way trade turnover reached some US $10 billion.

Việt Nam is looking for the RoK’s assistance to training personnel, mobilizing financial resources, transferring technological solutions and treating wastes of the Ninh Thuận nuclear power plant which will be groundbroken soon, the PM said.

Việt Nam and the RoK are enjoying various opportunities to speed up cultural exchange as thousands of Vietnamese and Korean are living and working in their respective countries.
