Meeting with some 80 leaders of the world’s leading companies and representatives of the Forum of Global Young Leaders at the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia 2010 opened in Hồ Chí Minh City today, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng called for stronger foreign investment and business activities in Việt Nam .

The host chief expressed his full confidence in what Việt Nam can bring to foreign players. According to him, these are advantages in terms of big labor pool, socio-political stability, high economic growth rate, abundant natural resources, a potential domestic market with nearly 90 million consumers, and a gateway to bigger markets when free trade areas are established between ASEAN and China , Japan , and the Republic of Korea.

He also shared lessons in Việt Nam ’s socio-economic management with the foreign corporate officials.

The foreign guests underlined their belief in the vitality of Việt Nam ’s economy that is overcoming the global crisis. They also exchanged views with the PM about the country’s investment and business environments as well as their plans to do business here.
