PM approves Denmark-funded art education project
VGP - The Prime Minister has approved a Denmark-sponsored project on art education in primary schools with a total non-refundable aid of US $730,000 for the 2011-2015 period.

The project funded by the Danish Government aims to support the Ministry of Education and Training in reforming curricula and text books of art education in primary schools and popularize new teaching methods for the fine arts subject at primary schools nationwide as well as provide training for teachers.
The project will help stimulate creative thinking and cognitive development of children through the development of child-centred pedagogical methods and teaching materials.
The ‘Support to Art Education in Primary Schools’ (SAEPS) follows the first-stage project in the 2006-2010 period.
Since 2006, the project had helped Thái Nguyên Pedagogical College and the National University of Art Education improve teaching capacity./.
