PM asks for accelerating production, manufacturing

VGP – The socio-economic performance over the past 11 months has recorded significant successes, including stabilizing the macro-economy, keeping inflation at a lower rate than in 2012 and maintaining a growth rate at 5.4%, stressed PM Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Dung on December 2 chaired the Government’s regular monthly meeting.
 
He asked them to continue drastic measures to curb inflation, further stabilize the macro-economy, guarantee the supply of goods and pay due attention to boosting production and manufacturing as well as speed up the tempo of projects and enhance supervision.
 
PM Dung also required them to implement policies to reduce poverty, guarantee social welfare, take care of citizens’ health and deploy solutions to traffic safety and social order.
 
He asked ministries and relevant agencies to check and report on the safety of 268 hydro-electric plants, focus on aforestation and resettlement and establish reservoir operation projects.
 
At the meeting, Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc also initiated that agencies at all levels need to make plans to realize the revised 1992 Constitution, which was approved at the sixth session of the 13th National Assembly.
