The Government chief also asked the inter-governmental committee to work more effectively and actively to beef up trade, investment, and tourist cooperation between the two countries.

Việt Nam and Ukraine should open a direct air route and speed up cooperation in education, science, technology, and culture in the time to come, said PM Dũng.

Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn said that Ukraine always attaches importance to developing ties with Việt Nam and his visit to the Southeast Asian country is an effort to do this.

Ukraine hopes to expand cooperation in high-tech, space, nuclear energy, transportation, and agriculture with Việt Nam, said Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn.

He also hoped Việt Nam would support his country to enhance cooperation with other ASEAN member states.
