Speaking at the event, the PM asked localities in the region to maximize their advantages for the region's development, especially potential in land and tourism as well as actively attract various investment sources to upgrade the socio-economic infrastructure system and improve people’s lives.

It is necessary to exploit effectively land around the river, guarantee safety of dykes, exploit potential and advantages of riverside land as well as improve all river and lake systems, he said.

PM Dung asserted the mobilization of investment resources to develop the socio-economic infrastructure system, especially road and railway systems in the capital city to facilitate trading activities and travel in accordance with expanding airports in the region for the economic development and national defense and security.  

The PM asked for establishing modern and concentrated industrial parks and ensuring the environmental sanitation.

Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted the regional connection of the plan, synchronous development in socio-economic infrastructure, urban and traffic system and crucial orientations in terms of industry, agriculture, education, health, culture-society, the environment, water supply and human resources training.

He required the close coordination between ministries, agencies and localities to develop economics, culture and society in combination with safeguarding national security and defense.
