PM leaves for 23rd ASEAN Summit

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Tuesday led a Vietnamese delegation to partake in the 23rd ASEAN Summit in Brunei’s capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan from October 8-10.

The Vietnamese delegation hopes to link hands with ASEAN member states and ASEAN Summit Chair Brunei for the success of the Summit, promoting solidarity and the central role of ASEAN in shaping the regional structure and building a powerful and united ASEAN in favor of regional peace, security, stability, cooperation and development, thus further heightening the status of Viet Nam and bolstering bilateral ties with its partners.  

Besides the 23rd ASEAN Summit, related meetings include the ASEAN + 3 Summit,  the 8th East Asia Summit (EAS), and ASEAN + 1 Summits with partners (China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, the US and the UN).

PM Dung and his Australian counterpart will chair the Asia-Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA)./.
