PM okays medical aid to Northeast and Red River Delta
VGP – The PM has just approved the project "Medical aid to Northeastern and Red River Delta provinces (NERRD)" using the World Bank’s loan of US$155 million.

The PM assigned the relevant provinces’ People’s Committees to allocate their corresponding capital and prepare necessary conditions to conduct the project.
The project NERRD will be carried out from 2013 to 2018 in 13 provinces, namely Lang Son, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, and Ninh Binh.
It aims to encourage local people to purchase medical insurance, improve financial stability of insurance funds, upgrade fundamental equipment of provincial hospitals, and improve health of women, children, the poor, and ethnic groups.
