The PM has asked Việt Nam’s Embassy in Japan to coordinate closely with related Vietnamese and Japanese agencies to urgently evacuate Vietnamese citizens from areas seriously affected by earthquake, tsunami and nuclear in Japan as well as create favorable conditions for them to come back home if necessary.

The PM urged the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to closely cooperate with relevant ministries and agencies in Japan to closely follow the situation and put forth necessary responsive measures within their competence.

The Ministry of Finance and Việt Nam Red Cross (VRC) were required to transfer to the Japanese side the aid of US $200,000 and sums of money donated by Vietnamese people after the appeal from the VRC.

The MOH needs to cooperate with other related agencies to tackle the problems if radioactive dusts from Japan affect Việt Nam.

Meanwhile, the press should provide people with more news on the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and measures to ensure the safety of Vietnamese residents.

The Việt Nam Atomic Energy Institute, under the MST, has to provide timely and accurate information for the press on the nuclear problem and safety in Japan./.
