PM receives Head of EU Delegation
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on November 24 received newly-appointed Ambassador and Head of EU Delegation in Viet Nam Bruno Angelet in Ha Noi.

At the meeting, PM Dung highlighted the successful conclusion of the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), noting that the Agreement is a crucial landmark to accelerate economics, trade and investment and manifests a long-term, strategic and comprehensive vision to upgrade the Viet Nam-EU relations to a higher level.
Viet Nam attaches importance and expects to strengthen the comprehensive cooperative relationship with the EU, affirmed the PM, adding that during a working visit to the EU next week, high-ranking Vietnamese leaders will discuss measures and ways to boost up the relations in the future and witness the signing ceremony of the EVFTA .
The PM will also encourage other EU members to soon approve the EU-Viet Nam Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA).
Ambassador Bruno Angelet confirmed that Viet Nam is among the top partners of the EU in ASEAN, saying that the two sides’ cooperation will be expanded in the future not only in economics, trade and investment but also in politics, diplomacy, security and other strategic areas.
The EU will share development goals and orientations with Viet Nam, he said, adding that the EU advocates the renovation process of Viet Nam.
Mr. Bruno Angelet has been appointed as Ambassador and Head of EU Delegation in Viet Nam right after finishing his term of office as Belgian Ambassador to Viet Nam.
