Việt Nam always attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with Japan in all fields, said the PM.

Japan is now one of the biggest direct investors and official development assistance providers in Việt Nam. Almost all Japanese companies have gained success here, he added.

The two nations have obtained huge achievements in cooperation in economics, trade and investment, however, the two sides need to further exploit their potentials and advantages for mutual development and cooperation, the Government chief said.

He urged that Aichi Prefecture to closely cooperate with Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities in launching cooperative programs to beef up cooperation in the fields of health, education, tourism, culture and exchanges.

Currently, more than 100 businesses in Aichi are investing in Việt Nam and many of them are seeking for further investment in the Southeast Asian nation, stressed Mr. Hideaki Uhmura.

He expected that Vietnamese Government will create more favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to operate effectively in Việt Nam.
