PM receives VIP Japanese and Lao guests

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng presented on September 5 the Order of Friendship to former Japanese PM Murayama Tomichi for the latter’s contributions to the traditional relationship between Việt Nam and Japan.

The order is the Vietnamese State’s recognition of Mr. Murayama Tomichi for his contributions to assisting the poor and Agent Orange victims; setting up scholarship programs for disadvantageous students; and building social sponsor centers.

Mr. Murayama Tomichi is the President of the Japan-Việt Nam Peace Promotion Council. He was also the first Japanese PM to visit to Việt Nam in 1994, opening a new stage for the bilateral relationship and paving the way for Japanese businesses to enter Việt Nam.

Receiving Mr. Murayama Tomichi, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng emphasized that Việt Nam will do everything possible to materialize former Japanese PM’s initiatives effectively in Việt Nam.

Mr. Murayama Tomochi stated that this noble award is not only for himself but also for all Japanese citizens who have played their parts in the Japan-Việt Nam relations. He pledged to do his utmost to develop the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

On the same day, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng welcomed Lao Deputy PM, Chief of the State Inspectorate Asay Laoly.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highly lauded the talks between the inspectorates of the two countries and asked them to further boost exchange of experiences and cooperation to make the inspection work more fruitful and suitable to international practices in a context of the two countries’ integration into the world community .The Government chief confirmed that Việt Nam is willing to assist Laos in inspection work.
