PM talks with voters in Hai Phong

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung on July 2 talked with voters in An Duong District in the northern port city of Hai Phong to brief them on the outcomes of the fifth session of the 13th National Assembly and listen to their feedbacks and suggestions.

The voters were pleased with the country's socio-economic situation, which improved in the first half of the year, inspite of the global economic downturn.

The local voters gave comments on the draft revised Land Law and suggested that the Government should adjust parts of the co-operative model for agriculture as well as the new rural-areas building program.

For his part, PM Dung promised that Government would continue to fulfill the preset targets and called for a joint effort and consensus from the whole country and people in Hai Phong in particular.

According to PM Dung, the revised Land Law would increase supervision to avoid projects being left unfinished, while developing the new agricultural model to suit the specific requirements of each locality.

The Government, said PM Dung would direct all sectors and ministries to empathize with voters' concerns about health insurance for farmers, lower lending interest rates for the poor and the need for more supportive policies for nursery school teachers and other staff.

The Government leader also asked the local authorities of Hai Phong City to speed up important infrastructure projects, especially the site clearance work for the Ha Noi-Hai Phong highway project./.
