The diplomat made the notice during his courtesy visit to PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on the occasion of his new term in Việt Nam.

The RoK will be the host country of the next G20 Summit when it assumes the Chair of the Group at the end of this year.

PM Dũng said that Việt Nam, now holding the ASEAN Presidency, is ready to coordinate with the RoK for this event.

Though the RoK stands among biggest investors in Việt Nam, untapped potentials remain considerable, particularly in economy, trade, investment, and education, said PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, encouraging the two sides to further exploit them in the time to come.

The Government chief hoped that Mr. Park Suk Hwan would spare no effort to concretize the bilateral strategic partnership through specific activities during his ambassadorship.

The Korean diplomat said he would try his best to expand the relations between the two countries, especially the RoK’s ODA and direct investment in Việt Nam.

VN supports peace and stability in Korean peninsula

Concerning the Cheon-an case, PM Dũng said that the Government of Việt Nam extends condolences over the human damage.

Việt Nam takes close watch of the investigation thereof and other countries’ responses to the case.

Việt Nam’s stance is to protest against the use of military force in international relations, reaffirmed PM Dũng. Việt Nam is a responsible and trustful member of the international community, thus it will settle international issues in an equal and responsible way.

Việt Nam hopes relevant parties to practice self-restrain and address the issue through negotiations in order to secure peace and stability in the Korean peninsula, the host leader said.
