The program aims to improve mechanism and policy, scientific and technological solutions to serve the building of new rural areas.
With 70% of Việt Nam’s population living in rural areas and 50 percent of them working in the agricultural sector, building new rural areas plays an important role in the process of national modernization and industrialization.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said it is necessary to establish the program in order to ensure the best results of raising living conditions in rural areas.
