The program covers the following six tasks.
Firstly, the awareness of the service sector will be heightened in the context of international integration.
Secondly, policies and laws on the development of the service sector will be perfected.
Thirdly, enhancing State management capacity over the service sector.
Fourthly, improving the sector’s quality and competitiveness.
Fifthly, pushing up service exports and enhancing international integration in the service sector.
Finally, developing high-quality human resources for the service sector.
Earlier on January 27, 2011, the Prime Minister approved the overall strategy for Vietnam’s service sector development, targeting to achieve the average growth rate of 7.8-8.5% annually during the 2011-2015 period and account for 41-42% of the country’s GDP./.
