The project will be implemented till December 31, 2015 with a non-refundable Official Development Assistance (ODA) of US$18.503 million and the corresponding capital of VND4.8 billion.
The project will support the Ministry of Health to realize the national health care strategy for people.
It looks to help the ministry establish, update, implement and supervise strategies, principles and standards as well as national and technical guidance on infectious and non-infectious diseases and set up and update policies, standards and criteria on health care.
The project is expected to improve the quality of health services and strengthen interdisciplinary cooperation in response to epidemic and emerging diseases.
