Business communities are “bridges” for closer VN-RoK ties: PM

VGP – Attending and addressing the Korea-Việt Nam Business Forum this morning, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stated that the presence of a large number of the two countries’ business communities is an evidence of closer and closer bilateral cooperation.

With more than 2,150 ongoing FDI projects in Việt Nam, worth of nearly US $19 billion, the Republic of Korea (RoK) the second position among 90 countries and territories doing investment in the Southeast Asian country.
The Vietnamese PM praised projects conducted by Korean investors, which have benefited both the countries and significantly Việt Nam’s socio-economic development.
PM Dũng informed that Việt Nam is vigorously improving investment environment, perfecting its legal system and simplifying administrative procedures in order to give best conditions for foreign investors.
Việt Nam encourages Korean enterprises to expand their operations to such fields as transport, energy, urban development, high technologies, agriculture and rural development, said the PM.
He reiterated that the Vietnamese Government will maintain the mechanism of regular dialogue with investors in order to timely tackle difficulties while realizing investment policies.
Amid the global financial and economic turmoil, close cooperation between the two business communities will not only benefit enterprises but also speed up the bilateral partnership between Việt Nam and the RoK, concluded PM Dũng.
