PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng acknowledged the Union’s contributions to expanding the friendship, multifaceted cooperation, mutual confidence and understanding between the two countries.
The Vietnamese Government and people always attach importance to cementing and deepening the cooperation with Japan, said the Vietnamese PM.
He continued to express his hope that the Union will further support Việt Nam, especially in realizing such important projects as the trans-Việt Nam Express Railway and the Hòa Lạc Hi-tech Part.

Ambassador Sugi Ryotaro said that he is willing to promote the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in space technology development.
He initiated the organization of a cinema festival on the occasion of the 40 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. He also suggested a Japan-Việt Nam goods exhibition be held in Việt Nam for small and medium enterprises.
PM Dũng highly valued Mr. Sugi Ryotaro’s contributions to the consolidated bilateral friendship as well as to the resumption of Japan’s ODA for Việt Nam.
The leader vowed to back the Ambassador’s ideas for bilateral cooperation.

Receiving Mr. Fujio Mitarai, Chairman of Nippon Keidanren, this morning, PM Dũng stated that Việt Nam wants to promote economic, trade and investment cooperation with Japan to a new height, commensurate to the strategic partnership.
Việt Nam highly appreciates efforts and active cooperation of Keidanren in strengthening the bilateral economic ties, said PM Dũng.
Keidanren’s Japan-Việt Nam Economic Committee is closely working with Vietnamese partners to realize the stage 3 of the Việt Nam-Japan Joint Initiative of improving investment environment in Việt Nam.
Recently, Keidanren has sent its economic experts to Việt Nam and organized seminars on investment in Việt Nam.
The Vietnamese PM also took the occasion to encourage Japanese investors to jump in hi-tech fields./.
