Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thai Lai is assigned to head the Committee.

The Committee is responsible for supervising the enhancement of the capacity of responding to climate change, controlling flood, managing land and water resources, supplying water and dealing with sewage, exchanging information, forecasts and warnings on climate change.  

Vietnam and the Netherlands signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement on Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management on October 4, 2010.

The Strategic Partnership Arrangement establishes the framework for long-term bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and the Netherlands in climate change adaptation and water management.

It enhances exchange between government agencies, research institutions and businesses in both countries, based on mutual interests.
