Credit Framework Agreement with Finland ratified

VGP – The PM has approved the draft Framework Agreement between the Governments of Viet Nam and Finland on projects using Finland’s preferential credit.

The PM assigned the leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment to sign the agreement with the authorized Finnish representatives.

Preferential credits provided by Finland has been used for many projects, such as those on clean water supply in Tam Ky and Thai Binh, pumping stations in Hai Phong and Cau Rao 2, rural electrification and hospital modernization in Thanh Hoa.

As of 2008, 20 projects in Viet Nam had benefited from a total Official Development Assistance of more than US $100 million, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in Finland,

Viet Nam and Finland established their diplomatic relations on January 25, 1973.
