Covering high-ranking Government officials and prominent economists, the committee is in charge of consulting with the Prime Minister on economic policy directions evaluating the effectiveness of existing financial and monetary policies.

The meeting is scheduled to take place every quarter and headed by Deputy Prime Minister Vũ Văn Ninh.

Mr. Nguyễn Văn Bình Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam will serve as the Permanent Vice Chairman.

Mr. Vũ Viết Ngoại, Chairman of the National Financial Supervision Committee will act as the Vice Chairman.

The Committee also includes 22 other members who are ministers, deputy ministers and heads of related Government agencies./.
