The project targets to convert the La Lay border gate into a new, modern international border gate giving a fresh momentum for growth in the central province of Quang Tri.

The border gate would become an important bridge for an economic corridor in parallel with the East West Economic Corridor, connecting the North Central Coast with the Southern region of Laos and the Viet Nam-Laos-Cambodia development triangle.

It will be equipped with modern devices and supported by IT solutions.

The border gate is expected to boost economic and trade linkages between Viet Nam and Laos and consolidate national defense and border security./.
