The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology to carry out surveys on education, science and technology in some of Vietnam’s strategic partners.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed Decision 208/QD-TTg on establishing the National Steering Committee for International Integration of Education, Science and Technology.
The committee, headed by Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan, is responsible for putting forwards mechanisms, policies and solutions for accelerating international integration of education, science and technology to the Government.
It will also coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and localities to deploy policies, programs, plans, projects in these fields.
International integration of education, science and technology would contribute to raise the quality of the workforce and promote the role of science and technology in the industrialization and modernization cause.
Vietnam is striving to produce a highly competitive workforce by 2020.
