Gov’t chief meets leaders of Kazakhstan

VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on Tuesday had separate meetings with Kazakh President Nursultan A. Nazarbayev and Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokaev in Astana.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng underlined his impression on Kazakhstan’s rapid economic growth rate over the past years and the country’s increasing status on international arena.

He affirmed that consolidating the long-term multifaceted cooperation with Kazakhstan is one of important priorities in Việt Nam’s diplomatic policy.

The PM showed his strong confidence that the friendship between the two countries will continue to flourish and reach new heights soon.

Both PM Dũng and President A. Nazarbayev were unanimous that Việt Nam and Kazakhstan should promote bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, investment, science, education, tourism and labor.

Ealier, in his meeting with Kazakhstan Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokaev, the Vietnamese PM said that the National Assembly of Việt Nam places importance on expanding cooperation with other parliaments, including the Senate of Kazakhstan.

He informed the host legislative leader that Việt Nam and Kazakhstan had inked many important documents to lay the foundation for closer bilateral cooperation.

The Vietnamese leader hoped that the Kazakh Parliament and Chairman Tokaev will support the early approval of these documents as well as the negotiations for the agreement on avoiding double taxation in order to facilitate investment activities between the two countries in the time to come.
