Gov’t chief partakes in Singapore’s National Day

VGP - PM Nguyen Tan Dung on August 9 attended the 50th National Day Parade of Singapore at the invitation of President Tony Tan Keng Yam and PM Lee Hsien Loong.

The event also drew the participation of 18 member states of the East Asian Summit and U.K. Prince Andrew.  

During the second leg of his Asian tour, PM Dung also met with Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong.

PM Lee Hsien Loong warmly welcomed and thanked PM Dung for his attendance to the 50th National Day Parade.

The two PMs expressed their delight at the fine developments in economics, trade and investment especially through the model of Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP).

PM Dung informed that Viet Nam had finalized necessary procedures to launch VSIP 6 in the central province of Nghe An in Q4 and is promptly completing procedures for the groundbreaking of VSIP 7.  

The two leaders also took the occasion to discuss how to create a favorable way for Vietnamese citizens to enter Singapore in accordance with entry and exit regulations./.
