Highly appreciating contributions made by Ambassador Lim to the Singapore-Việt Nam relationship as well as the good will of Singaporean enterprises who want to promote their business activities in Việt Nam, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng said that the two countries should make greater efforts to maintain and consolidate the bilateral ties.

During the ambassadorship of Mr. Lim, the bilateral relationship has blossomed through numerous visits made at all echelons.

Since the signing of the framework agreement on Việt Nam-Singapore economic linkage in December 2005, Singapore has become one of Việt Nam’s leading trade partners.

Ambassador Lim pledged to do his best to foster the cooperation between the two countries.

On the same day, paying a courtesy visit to PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, Estonia’s newly-appointed Ambassador Andres Unga revealed that many businesses in his country want to have chances to do investments in Việt Nam.

He said that, during his term, he will closely work with Vietnamese agencies to create a favorable framework for economic cooperation between the two business communities.

PM Dũng lauded the Ambassador’s good ideas which, he believed, will come true soon. He asked the Estonian Government to grant more scholarships to Vietnamese students and closely coordinate with Việt Nam on multilateral forums.
