Gov’t leaders receive Lao guests

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng received Lao Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Thongloun Sisoulith on November 28 in Hà Nội.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng highlighted the special and loyal friendship between Việt Nam and Laos and asserted many important achievements were made in 2007 in the bilateral comprehensive cooperation. He stressed that the Vietnamese Government always encourages and provides favorable conditions for Vietnamese businesses to do investment in Laos, especially in infrastructure construction, assembling, hydroelectricity, as well as welcome Lao investors to Việt Nam.

Deputy PM, FM Thongloun Sisoulith highly valued Việt Nam’s role, position and prestige on the international arena. He said that Laos wants to cement and deepen cooperation with Việt Nam in all fields.

On the same day, Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng gave a reception to Minister of the Lao Prime Minister’s office Duangsavath Souphanouvong and the delegation of Lao archivists who were on working visit to Việt Nam.

The Vietnamese Government and PM always support the cooperation among Vietnamese and Lao archivists, said Deputy PM Hùng. He also affirmed that Việt Nam is willing to share experience and help Laos in training archivists.

Minister Duangsavath Souphanouvong reported to the Deputy PM the results of the working session between the two national archives departments, at which the two sides had signed some cooperative agreements.
