Gov’t sets to crack down on criminals
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng on January 11 released an official telegram to ask ministries, agencies and localities to further crack down on criminals.
The effort targets to encourage people to join hands with security forces to combat and repress crime and ensure security and order, particularly during the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival.
The Government chief asked the Minister of Public Security and Chairmen of provincial and municipal People’s Committees to protect policemen and anti-crime forces.
The press media is requested to boost information dissemination of good anti-crime examples and comdemn infringements.
Earlier on November 16, 2011, the Government chief released the Directive 2501/CT-TTg to kick off a campaign to suppress crime, guarantee political security and social order. Accordingly, 112 gangs were razed and 1,689 criminals were captured./.
