Hà Nội to pilot environmentally-friendly vehicles
VGP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed in principle to allow Hà Nội to pilot electric buses in the Old Quarter and around Hoàn Kiếm Lake for three years.
| The Hà Nội Municipal People’s Committee is requested to issue operation timetable for this kind of vehicle without causing more traffic congestion. Further deployment of the vehicle will depend of its efficiency and the city’s management during the experimental period. Some 20 electronic buses will be deployed to serve tourists contemplating trade streets in Hà Nội’s Old Quarter. The buses are designed for around 5-12 passengers for each turn.
