Longest suspension bridge inaugurated in Đà Nẵng
VGP – The Thuận Phước cable-suspended bridge, the longest of its kind, was officially inaugurated this morning in the central city of Đà Nẵng.

The bridge is of significant importance to the city’s socio-economic development and national security and defense. Particularly, it will help boost tourism development in the peninsula. | | | PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng attends the ground-breaking ceremony of the Rồng Bridge, Đà Nẵng City, July 19 – Photo: VGP | Speaking at the opening ceremony, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng hailed efforts made by the local authorities and contractors to complete the construction of the bridge. He stressed that Đà Nẵng’s investment in upgrading transport infrastructure over the past years is a sound roadmap for the city to become an economic hub in Central Việt Nam. Also on the day, the ground-breaking ceremony of the Rồng Bridge over the Hàn River was held with the participation of PM Dũng. Once coming into operation, the work constitutes part of the city’s East-West transport axis, linking the Đà Nẵng Airport to main streets. By Hải Minh |
