The Government chief tasked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to verify and ratify the contents of the project documents and organize the implementation of the project.
PM Dung also approved the draft agreement on cooperation in low carbon transition in the field of energy efficiency in the 2013-2015 period between the Governments of Viet Nam and Denmark.
Denmark is one of the first country in North Europe to invest in Viet Nam. As of August 2012, Denmark had 101 valid projects with total investment capital of US$625 million, ranking 25th among 96 countries and territories investing in Viet Nam.
Since 1972, Denmark has granted over US$1 billion in official development to Viet Nam. This year, the European country pledged to provide US$54.3 million at the Consultative Group Meeting for Viet Nam in December 2011.
For climate change adaptation, Denmark is the biggest donor with up to US$40 million for Viet Nam’s climate change adatation and mitigation program.
At present, Viet Nam is the only Asian country where Denmark deploys research program on climate change adaptation./.
