PM urges preparations for Viet Nam Day in Italy
VGP – The Government chief has just assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work with other relevant ministries and agencies to review preparations for the “Viet Nam Day in Italy in 2013."
The PM noted that it is necessary to mobilize other capital sources rather than the State budget to finance the event.
Viet Nam and Italy established their diplomatic ties on March 23, 1973. They will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic ties in 2013.
The economic relations between the two countries have flourished, with two-way trade turnover reaching US$2.5 billion last year.
Italian investors are running 40 projects in Viet Nam, valuing US$194 million.
In 2008, the Italian Government listed Viet Nam as a country prioritized for trade and investment cooperation.
