Mid-term CG Meeting 2011 to be held in central province
VGP – The Mid-term meeting of the Counsultative Group (CG) for Việt Nam in 2011 will be held in the central province of Hà Tĩnh from June 8 – 9, according to the Office of Government.

The formal meeting of the Consultative Group for Việt Nam is fixed in December every year

The meeting serves as a platform for the Government and sponsors to discuss Việt Nam’s socio-economic performance, review the sponsors’ implementation of their commitments that had been made in previous meetings and work out measures to improve the effectiveness of aids.
Last year, sponsor community pledged US $7.905 billion in official development assistance for the Southeast Asian country.
Two CG meetings are held each year, including a formal meeting in December.
The first CG meeting was organized in Paris in November, 1993./.
