The center under the Việt Nam Academy of Science and Technology will be located in Hòa Lạc High-tech Park.
The Government chief has entrusted the Academy President to develop functions, obligations, rights and structural organization of the satellite center.
The center is designed to turn cosmos technology sector into a hi-tech industry of regional and international standard to serve socio-economic development.
At the centre, small-sized satellites for weather forecast, observation, exploration, and rescue work will be researched and produced to meet domestic demand.
