Organization Board of East Asian Seas Congress founded

VGP – The PM has decided the establishment of the National Organization Board of the 5th East Asian Seas Congress (EAS Congress 5).

Accordingly, the Board will be headed by Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang.
 
Deputy Heads include Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Chu Pham Ngoc Hien, a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Huynh Duc Tho.
 
The Organization Board also consists of representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Director of the General Department of Viet Nam Seas and Islands, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
 
The Organization Board is in charge of crafting plans and regulating seminars, workshops, and forums within the Congress in an effective, safe, and economical manner.
 
Since 2003, the EAS Congress has established its reputation as an intellectual marketplace and ocean-based forum that uniquely focuses on the world's most diverse and fastest-growing region.
 
Organized by the Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) and its member states, the triennial event provides a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing, collaborative action, partnership building and a forum to advance commitment and cooperation in achieving the shared vision of a sustainable East Asian Seas.
 
As scheduled, the EAS Congress 5 will take place in Viet Nam from November 16-21 in the central city of Da Nang with the participation of around 600-700 delegates (including 400 foreign ones)./.
