The great achievements obtained during the past years of renovation are largely resulted from the national solidarity made by all Vietnamese people, both at home and abroad, PM Dũng stated.

He confirmed that the Party and State spare no efforts in bringing about a better life for all Vietnamese citizens, providing more favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese to easily visit the homeland without visa, do business and investment, buy and own houses in Việt Nam. The NA is considering the bill on double citizenship for overseas Vietnamese, revealed PM Dũng.

The Government chief asked overseas Vietnamese to keep the nation's cultural identities, especially the Vietnamese language. He opened his heart by saying: The country is ours, the nation is ours, and we should join force to build up a prosperous and powerful Việt Nam country. I called upon all of you to turn to the fatherland, by all means and ways. The homeland is eternal; hatred and hostility were the past which should be closed.

Former PM of the former Republic of Việt Nam Nguyễn Cao Kỳ said that PM Dũng can feel absolutely secure about overseas Vietnamese community. “Even an overseas Vietnamese youth, knowing nothing about the past, understands after this one-hour conversation with PM Dũng,” he reiterated. He added that the insignificant minority of people who are turning their backs to the homeland can never be compared with the increasing community of overseas Vietnamese doing their best to contribute to the development of the homeland.

He also expressed his strong belief that PM Dũng and other leaders will surely make the country advance fast and steadily.

Receiving some US top enterprises before concluding his US tour, PM Dũng conveyed the message that: The investors are all welcomed to Việt Nam and Vietnamese enterprises will closely work with American partners in successful projects for mutual benefits.
