PM Dung meets with WHO official
VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung spoke highly of the World Health Organization’s cooperation and assistance for Viet Nam while meeting with Regional Director for the Western Pacific Shin Young-soo on Tuesday.

The Government chief called for WHO’s continued cooperation in public healthcare, particularly policy consultation, management experience sharing, staff training and resource assistance.
The WHO official highly valued Viet Nam’s achievements in increasing life expectancy and health insurance coverage, implementing preventive medicine, and providing medical checks and treatment to residents in rural and remote areas.
He affirmed that the WHO would continue to assist Viet Nam in realizing health development targets.
Both PM Dung and Mr. Shin Young-soo discussed issues relevant to the improvement of medical treatment quality, epidemic disease prevention, and healthcare insurance./.
