PM agrees ADB-funded project
VGP – The PM recently gave a nod to the Mekong Sub-region Communicable Diseases Control Project (second phase) worth of US $30 million.
|  | | The Mekong River runs through Việt Nam – Illustration photo | Out of the total cost, the Asian Development Bank contributes US $27 million. The Ministry of Health was entrusted to review and ratify the project. The project targets to timely respond to and control epidemics which would cause severe impacts on regional economy and healthcare system; improve communicable disease control (CDC) for vulnerable groups especially women and children in border areas; and strengthen regional collaboration in CDC including HIV/AIDS control.
