The event creates an opportunity where Greater Mekong Sub-region Governments meet and exchange with Japanese investors and businesses about the potentials and investment prospects.

Event delegates stressed that after six years of formation and development, the Mekong-Japan cooperation has made crucial contributions to the region’s socio-economic development, especially in terms of infrastructure, transport and logistics, turning the Sub-region into an attractive destination.

The Japan External Trade Organization revealed that it has opened six representative offices in the five nations. In 2014, Japan poured US$6.8 billion in the Mekong Region.

Speaking at the forum, PM Nguyen Tan Dung highlighted Viet Nam’s achievements in the socio-economic development.

He confirmed that the Vietnamese Government will cooperate and create favorable conditions for investors in their business operation and investment in Viet Nam.
