The Government chief requested the Ministry of Health to closely work with the World Health Organization (WHO), international organizations and related countries to keep a close watch on the situation, forecast the spread of the virus to Viet Nam and prepare plans to cope with the Ebola outbreak.
The Ministry of Information and Communications and local authorities are responsible for working with the Ministry of Health to update news on the epidemic, risk levels, and preventive measures.
The Ministry of Health cooperates with relevant agencies and ministries to tighten supervision at border areas. Anyone suspected of contracting the virus must be isolated and treated properly to minimize the rate of fatality and prevent infection in the community.
The Ministry of Finance is in charge of timely allocating expenditures to deploy preventive measures.
Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared Ebola epidemic an international health emergency.
