The Haitian legislators spoke highly of PM Dung’s visit which will open up a new chapter for the development of the relations between the two countries.
The bilateral ties have been built on the basis of the mutual friendship, solidarity and support for the struggles for national liberation and for the current development processes in the two countries, they noted.
Viet Nam cooperated with Haiti to set up the new national full-service telecoms operator Natcom and ensure food security for the Caribbean country.
PM Dung said during his visit, both sides discussed measures to expand the bilateral cooperation in trade, construction, infrastructure development, energy, agriculture among others.
The two countries also discussed ways to improve the legal framework for the bilateral ties.
PM Dung took the occasion to convey Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Sinh Hung’s invitations to Haitian leaders to pay official visits to Viet Nam.
He said that Viet Nam will host the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliament Union Assembly in March 2015.
