PM praises public security cooperation with China

VGP - PM Nguyen Tan Dung on Tuesday praised public security cooperation between Viet Nam and China, particularly in crime prevention in along the borderline, during his reception for Chinese Minister of Public Security Meng Jianzhu.

He urged the two Ministries of Public Security would strengthen bilateral cooperation and affirmed the Vietnamese Government’s support for the relations.

Viet Nam also attaches importance to enhancing cooperative ties with China for the interests of the two countries, the Government chief stressed.

He also took the occasion to thank China’s valuable assistance for Viet Nam in the past struggle for national liberation and current socio-economic development cause.

PM Dung pointed out that there still exists differences over sea issue between the two countries, thus both sides need to discuss to find out proper and long-term solutions to the issue on the basis of agreements reached by their high-ranking leaders and international law, not to let the East Sea issue affect the bilateral cooperation.

Minister Meng Jianzhu said the two countries have closely cooperated in fighting drug crime, human trafficking, swindle, weapon smuggling, high-tech crime and others.

Meng Jianzhu affirmed that his ministry will spur cooperation with Vietnamese Ministry of Pubic Security in order to contribute to boosting the friendship and cooperation between the two neighbors.
